Search Engine Optimized Home Page Text
The home page should have at least one paragraph of text content that will use the site's most important keywords throughout. Special attention needs to be paid to the headings and sub-headings on the page. Note: search engines gives the page headings and sub-headings priority importance over paragraphs and bullet lists. So, remember to use keyword-loaded headings between paragraphs: sort of like newspaper headlines. You want to use headings, since they have more "weight" from a SEO perspective. They are helpful for another reason: they should tell the main points you wish to get across, for readers who skim.
First Paragraph = Site Description
The first paragraph's text is critical: it will end up being your site's description in some search engines. So, if you want to say things like "welcome to my web site", save it for the 2nd or 3rd paragraph where it won't be wasted with the search engines. This home page should summarize the site's contents: Offering miniature porcelain dressed dolls, doll kits, supplies, and antique reproductions.
